CASE STUDY 01

A Story People Understand

Helping Groundwork Ranch show the impact of their work through film.

Groundwork Ranch faced a familiar challenge: equine-assisted learning is powerful, but difficult to explain. We collaborated with their team to create a short-form documentary that translates the heart of their mission into a story anyone can connect with. Filmed over several days, the project followed a neglected pony’s journey toward restoration and belonging—a living metaphor for the healing and resilience foster families and at-risk youth find through Groundwork’s programs. The film now serves as a tool to engage donors, partners, and families by making their work tangible, emotional, and unforgettable. It was also featured in the Yellow Barn Film Festival, extending Groundwork’s story to an even wider audience.

"The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon. Too often, we forget that."
