CASE STUDY 03

Rescuing a Vision

Turning a broken edit into cornerstone films for fundraising and movement-building.

America’s Kids Belong had powerful stories captured across multiple states—families, leaders, and youth in foster care. But when the first cut from their original partner fell flat, the entire campaign was at risk. With limited time and budget left, they needed more than just a cleanup. They needed a rescue.

That’s where we came in. Working only with existing footage, we rebuilt the narrative, found the emotional core, and delivered two polished short films—plus social cutdowns and stills—that became central assets for AKB’s “Foster Friendly Communities” initiative.

The result? Stories that not only looked good, but moved hearts and is helping to fuel a movement.

"Spoken Films displays a unique ability to drill right to the heart of your story... Add to that great communication, strong project management, and attention to detail, and: We Love Spoken Films!"
Nanette Kirsch, Executive Director of Marketing, America’s Kids Belong

"The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon. Too often, we forget that."
